CBD Dog Guide

Privacy Policy

CBD Dog Guide is a static, informational directory. We don't have user accounts, a shopping cart, or a newsletter signup, so there's very little of yours for us to collect in the first place. This page explains exactly what does happen when you visit.

Information we collect

Information you provide: none. There's nothing to sign up for, log into, or submit on this site.

Information collected automatically: our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard web server logs for every site it hosts — things like IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, and timestamps. This is routine infrastructure logging used for security and diagnosing problems, not something we use to build a profile of you. We also use two analytics tools, described below.

Cookies and analytics

We use two analytics tools to understand how this site is used, so we can improve it:

Vercel Analytics counts aggregate pageviews. It's cookieless and doesn't track you individually across visits.

Microsoft Clarity records how visitors interact with pages — things like clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement — to help us see which parts of the directory are actually useful and which aren't. Unlike Vercel Analytics, Clarity does use cookies to distinguish sessions. It's operated by Microsoft and governed by Microsoft's privacy statement, not just this one.

Beyond those two, this site doesn't set its own cookies — no login, no cart. If that changes again, we'll describe it here and update the "last updated" date below.

Every product and brand listing links out to that brand's own website. The moment you leave cbddogguide.com, you're on their site, governed by their privacy policy, not this one — we don't control what they collect.

Some of those outbound links are affiliate links. When you click one, the brand or their affiliate network (for example Impact, ShareASale, Awin, or Refersion) may set a cookie or otherwise record that the visit came from CBD Dog Guide, typically so a purchase can be attributed to us. That tracking happens on the destination site or network, not on cbddogguide.com, and is governed by their privacy practices, not ours. See our legal page for more on how we make money.

How we use information

The server logs described above are used only to operate, secure, and maintain the site. We don't send marketing emails — we have no way to, since we don't collect addresses — and we don't sell personal information.

Data sharing

We don't sell or rent personal information to anyone. The third parties involved in running this site are our hosting provider (Vercel), our analytics tools (Vercel Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, described above), and, if you click an affiliate link, the brand and affiliate network on the other end of it — in that last case, they're receiving whatever your browser ordinarily sends when visiting any website, not something we hand over separately.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example under GDPR in the EU/UK or CCPA in California — you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information held about you. Since this site doesn't collect personal information through accounts or forms, there's typically nothing on file to act on, but you're welcome to contact us with any privacy question below.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes — most likely by adding an analytics tool — we'll update this page and the date below before the change takes effect.
